Somewhere, there’s a person waiting to learn the instrument you already know how to play.

Maybe they’ve always wanted to learn.

Maybe they played years ago and life got in the way.

Maybe they’re looking for something positive to focus on. Something to look forward to. Something that feels like theirs.

They found Music6s.

Now we need to connect them with you.

We’re looking for music instructors across the United States who are confident on their instrument and, just as importantly, patient, friendly, encouraging and dependable.

You don’t need to be a professional music teacher.

You can teach virtually from wherever you live. In-person lessons may also be possible when there’s a good local match.

And you only need to help one person.

We’re hearing from people who want to make music. We want to be able to say yes and get them connected faster.

Nearly each day we get a request from a veteran or first responder for help from across the country. We need volunteers to teach virtually or locally in their towns. You don’t need to commit to a full roster. Just one student.

Music6s has students across the United States. Teach music virtually, in person in your local community, or both. Apply to become a volunteer instructor.

CALL TO DUTY! MUSIC6S is shipping a baker's dozen of guitars next week to new students (Vets & 1st Responders) throughout the country AND are in need of volunteer instructors for online lessons. Just one 1/2 per week on Zoom or Google Meet can be a transformational experience for the student as well as the teacher. IMPORTANT WAUKESHA COUNTY FAIR UPDATE: ALL MUSIC6S PERFORMANCES CANCELED.
Due to unsafe air quality caused by wildfire smoke moving into our area, ALL performances on the Music6s Stage have been canceled.
We are incredibly disappointed, but the health and safety of our performers, volunteers, crew, and audience must come first. We are grateful to every artist affected by today’s cancellations for their understanding.
We will keep everyone updated as the day continues. Please watch this page for the latest information—and take care of yourselves out there.

This crew deserves the loudest applause. 👏🎸💚

The Music6s & WAMI Stage at Summerfest didn’t happen in 9 days.

It was built over months, weeks, days, and all the moments in between.

Early mornings. Late nights. Flurries of emails. Countless text messages. Planning. Scheduling. Loading in. Setting up. Tearing down. Solving problems. Answering questions. Finding solutions. Showing up early. Staying late. Then doing it all again the next day.

Because of this crew, our stage became more than a place to hear great music. It became a place where musicians, volunteers, veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, families, sponsors, and festivalgoers came together around a shared mission.

None of it happened by accident.

It happened because people cared enough to make it happen.

To every volunteer, crew member, and behind-the-scenes person who gave your time, energy, talent, and heart—thank you.

You helped create something truly special, and we are grateful beyond words.

Please help us give the Music6s Summerfest crew the standing ovation they deserve. 👏💚🎶
