What a great community we live in 🤗

Bear Spotlight: Meet Bernadette Bear at Tidewater Appliance! 🐻🧺

Did you know Bernadette was named after New Bern? Sponsored by Tidewater Appliance and painted by local artist Chris Bennett, Bernadette is one of just a handful of She Bears around town!

Her story celebrates how much appliances—and women’s roles—have evolved over the years. Appliances were once primarily used by women in the home, but times have changed, and so have women!

Look closely at Bernadette and you’ll see her story represented on both sides: the Stay-at-Home Bears on the left and the Working Bears on the right. She celebrates women in all their roles and the many ways they contribute to our families, workplaces, and communities.

As the New Bern Yarn Project returns this October with a focus on civic engagement, Bernadette reminds us that strong communities are built when people participate, support local businesses, volunteer, attend community events, and make their voices heard.

🧶 Join In. Vote. Be Heard.
🗳️ Every voice matters. Every neighbor matters. Every vote matters.
📍 Stop by Tidewater Appliance to see Bernadette and celebrate the women, businesses, and community spirit that make New Bern special!

The easiest experience getting a dishwasher! The sales woman was helpful, she texted me pics of available stainless dishwashers, I picked which one and she arranged delivery and installation within a couple of days. Payment was easy. Then the delivery kept me updated and the guys were great! Will definitely only come here for appliances, no more Lowe’s!

Reviews from Tidewater Appliance - New Bern

The repair experience we had with Tidewater Appliance was excellent. I was able to enter the service request through the on line system, follow up was immediate. Tidewater staff kept me updated from the time the parts were ordered through the complete repair. Aaron the repair technician was prompt, efficient and the dryer was back up and running shortly after he installed new parts, service call was under 1 hour. The entire staff was excellent.
