Over the years, I’ve had a lot of people reach out about wooden dummies. I appreciate that more than I can say.
But at this point, I’m no longer accepting new orders.
This page will remain as a record of the work, and I may share the rare build from time to time, but I’m stepping away from building as a regular practice.
That said, this is one of the last dummies I’ve built, and it is available.
$1200 + $260 shipping (contiguous U.S.)
Local pickup preferred and Free.
This is a freestanding unit and must be properly weighted or secured for safe use. No exceptions.
Once it’s gone, that’s it.
On another note...
As I step away from building, my focus is shifting more toward teaching, writing, and publishing.
I’ve been considering putting together a book on building wooden dummies, not just plans, but a complete breakdown of how to approach it from different angles:
• Traditional build- what people think they’re getting (and often aren’t)
• Modern builds with limited tools and what’s actually possible without a full shop (think a router, circular saw, hand saw and a screw gun and a few sheets of plywood)
• Full shop builds and what it looks like when you remove limitations and build with intent
The goal wouldn’t be to copy a spec, it would be to understand the system so it can actually be built correctly.
