💚 🛍️ One of the largest events in the City of Progress returns Saturday, Dec. 2 as Downtown Enterprise transforms into Whoville Celebration 2023. The 6th annual event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Main, College, Easy and Grubbs Streets.

“We know how much our community looks forward to the Whoville Celebration and we are excited to announce that this year’s event is even better than last year,” Main Street Executive Director Mariah Montgomery said. “We have more than 150 vendors, food trucks, free inflatables and train rides, and so much more. This family-friendly event has something for all ages, and we hope you will come down to support Whoville and all of the businesses that are participating.”

Montgomery said the Grinch will be set up in a new location in front of the Yancey Parker building to allow for non-stop pictures throughout the event, complete with a new custom backdrop.

“Our volunteers have poured countless hours into making this event even more enjoyable for our community. We appreciate them giving their time and talents to help spread some holiday cheer.”

The main stage is fully booked with local dancers, musicians, and the ever popular “Who Look-A-Like” and pet costume contests. Both are free to enter, and prizes will be awarded. Live music will also be performed in The Nook in Downtown Enterprise, at the corner of Main and Grubbs Streets, starting at 11:30 a.m.

Food trucks will be spaced throughout the event in “Who Food Courts” similar to 2022. Dining tents with tables and chairs will be available.

Mt. Crumpit Maze & More will be located on West College Street. Ticketed rides include Elf Driving School and the Winter Wonderland Maze. Tickets will be available for sale the day of the event at the Ticket Tent on West College Street. For $10, customers will receive eight tickets, which will allow them to enjoy each of the ticketed rides at least once.

“The Whoville Celebration would not be possible without the support of our generous sponsors. The top 2023 Whoville Celebration Sponsors are Goolsby Plumbing and Electric, All in Credit Union, Envoy Mortgage, Five Star Credit Union, and Parker Loan team.”
