I had the pleasure of visiting in Barcelona. In 1957, Pablo Picasso painted a series of interpretations of Diego Velazquez’ 1656 Las Meninas, meaning Ladies in Waiting. Here are my favorite impressions of Infanta Margarita. “I’ll try to do it my way, forgetting about Velazquez”, he said. Personally, I can’t forget about either one of them. I had just been to Madrid at the Prado and seen the epic painting, which is really huge in person. Unfortunately, they don’t allow photography. Please share your thoughts and impressions.

We spent the afternoon before dinner at to see the exhibit. Glorious colors highlight the Jetsons and the Flintstones. The portraits were equally as mesmerizing; as were the retro paintings I do recommend visiting this stunning townhouse on the lower east side.
