Did you know that Morehouse Appliances has an interesting start? Morehouse, a skilled tinsmith and blacksmith, founded the company as H.D. As times changed and the automobile took over, Henry adapted his trade to focus on tinsmithing and expanded into selling coal and wood-burning stoves. Over the years, our product offerings expanded to include ice boxes, gas-burning stoves, and gas & electric-powered wringer washers. 🛠️🔥🔌
Leslie H. Morehouse, Henry's son, continued operating the store after his father's retirement until 1973. Following Leslie's passing, his son Henry D. took the reins and successfully ran the store for the next 25 years. Today, we are proud to that Dan and Dave Morehouse, the 4th generation of Morehouses, kept growing the store while continuing to support the community right up to the present day.👨👦👦✨
