That's our Rockstar of an office manager! With a drill in her hand making sure the job gets done.
Ellie Morehouse runs the office at Morehouse — accounting, purchasing, logistics, and managing the staff that makes this place work. On any given day she's deciding what we buy, what we owe, what's coming off a truck, and who's covering what.
Reassembling a portable air conditioner is nowhere on that list....normally.
But one of our techs needed to get back on the road to another customer, the unit needed to go back together, and she was standing right there. So she grabbed a drill and got it done.
That's small business. Ellie is the fifth generation of her family in this store — and 132 years in, the thing we're proudest of still isn't a brand on our floor or a sign out front. It's that when something needs doing here, somebody picks it up.
Nobody says "not my job." Office, sales, delivery, service — everyone on this crew has stepped outside their title at some point so a customer wouldn't have to wait.
Five generations, since 1894. Same idea the whole time: take care of the person waiting on the other end.
