2,026 students checked in for College Night in 2026! We could not have planned that if we tried! ✨

Broadway Island was packed from 4-8 PM on Thursday, with DJ Mike Martone keeping the energy high, up to 25% off at participating retailers, free pizzas, churros, BBQ fries, Shah’s Platters, Kettle King’s kettle corn, and more. Glitter tattoos, Paper Source's crafting table, the photo booth at J.Crew, and the prize wheel at Campus Customs were all big hits!

Thank you to Shubert Theatre, Arts Council of Greater New Haven, CitySeed, Town Green District, Grails, Soap-Edi, Warby Parker, Water Street Jewelers, and others for joining us to welcome students from Yale, Southern, Albertus, Quinnipiac, UNH, and Gateway back to New Haven! We hope you had a great time connecting with them and being part of College Night.

Congratulations to everyone who ran the 49th Faxon Law New Haven Road Race this morning, and thank you to everyone who came out and cheered them on with us.

We spent Labor Day on Chapel Street with cowbells, sign-making stations, coffee and pastries from Atticus, and a DJ, watching the 20K and half marathon run through downtown New Haven outside the Yale University Art Gallery. The signs people made were better than anything we could have printed, and the noise on the block did not let up for two hours.

Tag someone you spotted, or drop your time in the comments so we can cheer you on again.

Some specials are simply too good to say goodbye to 🍕

Inspired by Chef Bryan’s first pizza mentor, Marios of Pomodoro, Bobbi’s new vegetarian Detroit-style pizza is layered with basil pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, asparagus, mushroom confit, and red onion.

What started as a special has officially earned a permanent place on the menu. Find it now at Bobbi’s at 51 Broadway and tell us who you’re sharing a square with. 👀

Connecticut isn’t on Michelin’s restaurant map yet but Chef Joseph Iannaccone is cooking like it is.

After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Joe sharpened his skills in some of the country’s most celebrated kitchens, including The French Laundry, Le Bernardin, Crown Shy, and Le Zoo. Then he came home to New Haven to build something of his own.

At Casanova, the pasta is made by hand, and Joe’s ambition is as big as ever. His next dream? A Michelin star of his own.

Go eat their dishes asap...you’ll want to be able to say you were there before everyone else knew.
