This new ML concert is currently available at Hoffmann lutherie. It features perfectly Q.S. AAA cocobolo back and sides and curly mahogany binding. Cocobolo is becoming increasingly hard to find, and wood of this quality is even more rare. This new M style 8-string is the fullest sounding soprano ukulele you'll ever play. It has clear strong tone all the way through the first octave; something unheard of in a standard soprano. It would add a new sound dimension to anyone's collection, and is also convertible to mandolin just by changing string gauge and tuning (easy to do with the pinned nut). As a mandolin it becomes much easier to play than steel string with a tone all it's own. The top is high grade spruce with mahogany back and sides and koa binding. The special thing about this new concert ML ukulele is that it contains no tropical wood; only North American domestic species. The maple, walnut and cedar used in its construction is all renewable! It has maple back, sides, fret board and bridge with a walnut neck and binding and western cedar top. The finish is polished lacquer and tuners are Gotoh UPT's.
