The US Department of Transportation removed cycling road safety information from their website. We're all for safe cycling, so this is a real bummer. Read the Bicycle Retailer and Industry News story below (there is a link if you want to send a message to your local Congressperson).

The League of American Bicyclists says ""For instance, if you were able to read the now-removed bike lanes one-pager, you would find that bicycle lane additions can reduce all crashes — not just bicyclist crashes — up to 49% for total crashes on urban four-lane undivided collectors and local roads . . . "

The Farmington Canal Heritage Trail “New” improvements for New Haven and Hamden. New Haven along with Hamden just added new crosswalks for there, micro mobility community. This makes it a lot safer and easier for folks crossing in intersections on the Farminton Canal Trail around New Haven and Hamden. Many government officials attended this ribbon-cutting ceremony. But I would like to give a special shout out to Aaron Goode from “Friends of the Farmington Canal” who told his emotional story. Letting folks know that we are in this fight together to make New Haven street safe for all. 🚴🏾‍♀️🚴🏻🏃‍♂️🏃🏿‍♀️🛹🛼🚶🏽‍♀️🚶🏼
