ROWE Pottery
Did you know it is made right here in Wisconsin ??? Pretty clue. Here is a little more information on it.
Rowe Pottery Works is a well-known Wisconsin pottery company, especially popular with collectors of primitive, country, and farmhouse décor.
* It was founded in 1975 by Jim Rowe in Cambridge, Wisconsin.
* It began as a small, two-person studio. Jim threw the pottery by hand, and pieces were fired in a brick kiln behind the workshop.
* Around 1980, Rowe began producing high-quality reproductions inspired by early American salt-glazed crocks and jugs.
* Their signature look became gray salt-glazed stoneware decorated with cobalt-blue designs—hearts, birds, flowers, animals, holiday scenes, and traditional lettering.
* As country decorating became popular during the 1980s and 1990s, Rowe expanded into bowls, pitchers, lamps, crocks, canisters, Santas, ornaments, commemorative pieces, and the Cornerstone Village collection.
* Each handmade piece may carry the company stamp, a date, pattern information, and small artist marks identifying the potter and decorator.
