Such a fun Ladies Night at Uwharrie Brewing. 💐🍻 Thank you for having us, and thank you to everyone who came out to sip, shop, play with flowers, and graciously endure a little singing and dancing along the way. 😂🤍

We brought farm-fresh blooms, gorgeous purple basil from Elam Acres Flower Farm and Apiary, and a few special stems from our favorite family-owned wholesaler in Charlotte — including those Pink Mondial roses… iykyk. 🌹

And thank you for all the love on my new watercolor prints, inspired by photos from the garden. More pieces are already in the works, including a few inspired by favorite places around town. Prints + greeting cards will be at the farmers market, with online ordering coming soon.

Next up: celebrating our friends at Whatsit Books at their ribbon cutting tomorrow at 11! 📚💐 You might spy a special designed piece, from us, while there. 💖

I may have stumbled into a pretty fun little opportunity to open a local vineyard for a pop-up muscadine U-Pick this weekend, just minutes from Badin Lake.

Potentially Friday, Saturday morning + early afternoon, or Sunday — but I want to know if you’d actually come before we make it official. 👀

Some Saturdays are about so much more than flowers. 🤍

Today felt like one of those.

I’m endlessly grateful for the friends, the friends who have become family, and every customer and familiar face who continues to show up for this little flower business of mine. Saturdays at the market have become so special — not just because I get to share the flowers I grow, but because of the people I get to share them with.

Today, my best friend Claudia made a special trip to help hold down the flower stand so I could slip away and watch Hazel play her first soccer game of the season. 🥹⚽️🌸

There was a time when Claudia and I thought we’d be standing side by side in our own little flower shop. Life took that plan in a different direction, but somehow she’s still here, standing beside me and the flowers anyway. There’s something pretty beautiful about that.

To everyone who stopped by, built a bouquet, brought your family (and pups 🐾), said hello, helped out, or simply continues to cheer Miss Catie’s Blooms on — thank you.

And a special thank you to Chelsea from for coming out to see us! We’re excited to be joining them again for Ladies Night on September 23rd at 6 PM with another bouquet bar alongside lots of other fun vendors. 🌸🍻

It takes a village to grow a little dream. I’m awfully grateful for mine. 🌸

I haven’t had much time to simply play with flowers lately—not for an order, an event or a market, but just to follow an idea and see where it might lead.

After sharing those intimate flower close-ups recently, I wanted to step back into that same feeling of curiosity—this time in the little design studio I’ve been slowly creating inside my home. With a backdrop generously loaned by a friend, flowers from the garden and nowhere else I needed to be, I spent some time reconnecting with my materials and creating content in a space that finally feels intentionally my own.

The bouquet didn’t unfold exactly as I imagined. Two of my statement dahlias and a couple of supporting blooms lost their heads before I could use them—because flowers, like most living things, have plans of their own. So I shifted the balance, let the remaining dahlia lead and continued playing. (PS this is why your florist always orders just a little bit extra - when one decides “off with her head!”) Florist friends: IYKYK 😂😅

It wasn’t about making something perfect or even something I intended to sell. It was about returning to the part of this work that first drew me in: observing, responding, experimenting and making something beautiful simply because I could.

The first of many quiet afternoons creating here, I hope. 🤍

Wow—what a beautiful weekend. 🤍

Saturdays at the market are always so special to me, and I mean that truly. This one brought a sold-out morning, friends visiting from both near and far, and the joy of sharing my flowers with people I love.

Designing this piece for my friend’s baby shower brought me so much creative, artistic joy. I love growing flowers, but what scratches the deepest itch is creating something that gets to quietly exist within one of life’s sacred moments. Flowers may not speak, but they hold space for celebration, love, memory, and all the feelings we don’t always have words for.

The finishing stems from our flower-farming friends at —including strawflower and that gorgeous purple hyacinth bean vine—made the piece feel complete. I love my own flowers, but I truly love all flowers. There is something beautiful about creating in community, sharing what we grow, and supporting one another’s farms.

My brother and sister-in-law came all the way from Ohio, Hazel colored, explored, and enjoyed an impromptu market playdate with our friends at Huneycutt Venture Meats—and they also provided the most incredible steaks for our family dinner. Friends traveled from out of town to visit our little market, support my business, and carry my flowers home.

It all means so much more to me than I could ever fit into one caption. Flowers, family, friendship, fellow farmers, and community—what a gift this weekend was. 🌸

A closer look at what’s blooming here in late August.

The perfect petals. The weathered edges. The strange little details you might never notice from across the garden.

I spend so much time growing flowers to eventually cut them, arrange them, sell them or send them off into someone else’s story. I wanted to start documenting them simply as they are — each one its own tiny work of art.
