Within 15 minutes of sweeping around the Thames River Islands with only one worm for bait, Dan LaMothe landed this beautiful 40 inch striper. A quick photo was taken and it was safely released to swim again in our waters.

Mike Burton caught this 40 inch striper from the Groton shore on a chunk of fresh mackerel he bought at the store. He picked a few more fresh mackerel this morning and is out now fishing for another bite!
