🌿 A little change of plans from Mother Nature this week…

Our local butternut squash isn’t quite ready yet, and rather than rush her, we’re going to let her ripen on her own time. 💛

We’ll still be serving our scheduled Sweet Kale & Quinoa Salad, but in place of the butternut squash soup, we’re introducing something NEW:

🍋 Lemony White Bean Garden Soup — a light, cozy blend of white beans, carrots, celery, onion, lemon, and plenty of fresh-picked dill goodness.

As a collective, part of our work is learning to observe and live within the rhythms of nature. It’s easy to get caught up in our plans and how we think things should go, but nature has a beautiful way of reminding us that we’re not always in charge.

Luckily, it’s not a big dill. 😉🌿 She was more than ready to step up and be the star of this week’s soup.

We get a lot of questions about gluten, dairy, and other ingredients in our meals, so here's the scoop!

At Mother's Cupboard, we do our best to create recipes without dairy, eggs, gluten-containing ingredients, refined white sugar, artificial sweeteners, artificial preservatives, additives, or dyes. On the rare occasion that a dish contains one of these ingredients, we'll clearly note it on the menu.

When gluten or dairy-containing accompaniments are offered (like sourdough bread or goat cheese) they are served 𝕠𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕤𝕚𝕕𝕖, making it easy to enjoy your meal your way.

A note for those with food allergies:
Our kitchen is not an allergen-free facility. We process and handle soy, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, gluten, dairy, and other common allergens, and cross-contact is possible. For this reason, our food may not be suitable for individuals with severe food allergies or medically necessary dietary restrictions.

🥔✨ Meet our 'Kris'py Smashed Potato Salad!

Crispy smashed potatoes piled over romaine with dill pickles and red onion, served with a side of our creamy house-made dill pickle ranch dressing and a slice of sourdough, because obviously. 💛

This one comes courtesy of one of our beloved family members, K Hagedorn . Kris is a natural-health-minded NP in the Cities, a fellow believer in the power of food as medicine, and someone who is always bringing something fresh and delicious to the family table ✨🫶

Some of the best recipes don’t come from cookbooks, they come from the people you love feeding you something good and immediately saying, “Okay, I need this recipe.” 😂
