I had the joy of celebrating a sweet growing family this weekend. Feeling extra grateful to me able to make little gifts like this. This was a guest board for those at the baby shower to sign. It will be hung up in the babies room as a reminder of all the love that surrounds them. 😊

I just love making things for other small businesses!

We recently finished up on this display stand for Opal & Twine Designs , they make fun keychains and accessories. Now they have a great way to show them off at all the craft fairs!

Photo cred goes to the owner/designer/creator/ceo of Opal & Twine Designs! I was running out the door to deliver them with my wet hair still plopped on the top of my head when I realized I forgot to get a nice picture of our work. If you haven't caught on yet, there is never a dull moment here at JK Sundries. 😂

We're so excited that everyone is enjoying the high school signs! Just a few things for those who are new to us:

We are are small buisness run out of our single car garage that we have converted into our shop. Space is very limited, so we don't typically hang on to items or have a built up stock. Which means every item is handmade just for you. 😊 We start production on items once we recieve payment. Payment is done through Square. We will send a Square invoice via email once you have told us you are ready to get things going. Payment is non-refundable once production has begun, unless there is a mess up on our end.

It's just the two of us here at JK Sundries (Jared and Katie), every message and post and product is handled by us from start to finish. We do our best to move/respond quickly and provide you with the best, but we also try to make space for ourselves to be human. If you send us a message and we haven't personally responded within 24 hours, feel free to send us a second one!

I think that's everything. I can be fairly verbose. It's part of my anxious need to be unmistakably clear. Which is probably ironic because sometimes using less words makes things more clear-cut. Oh, I'm doing it again.. That being wordy thing.

Hey everyone! I’m going to make high school signs for most of the local high schools. Right now I have designs for Magnolia, Paden City, Valley, Hundred, Tyler Consolidated, Cameron, John Marshall, and River. If your school isn’t listed message me and we can talk about a design. Signs are $40. Customized name plagues with extracurricular symbols are an extra $10. If you are interested I can send you a digital example of what your sign would look like. Most designs are roughly 16”x16”. These are meant to hang on a front door or an interior wall and not for direct exposure to rain and the elements (ex. mailbox). I’d prefer local pickup or meetup but can ship for a little extra. I have an example of a real Cameron sign below and digital examples of the other schools. Please PM me with any questions!

We're working on refinishing this old treadle Singer sewing machine. I did aome digging and it turns out it was built in 1910. Just to emphasize my point.. that's 112 years ago!

Thinking of all the things this piece of furniture has seen really blows my mind. I mean, it's been through two pandemics, 20 different presidents, and a BUNCH of other historical events that I could go on and on about. That's straight up banana pants.

My favorite thing though, is thinking about all the hands that have touched it. The ones that made it and the ones that used it. The life events, big and small, that it might have gotten to participate in.

That, to me, is really quite special.

Oh gosh, I almost totally forgot that this was the altar at our wedding. Talk about participating in a big life event. 😂
