Atelier Study No. 1

Not every floral composition is created for an event.

Some are created simply to explore.

Atelier Study No. 1 began with a single antique chair and the question: What happens when nature slowly reclaims it? Rather than arranging flowers around the chair, I wanted the piece to feel as though it had grown from it—wild, untamed, and suspended somewhere between sculpture and landscape.

These studies are where ideas are tested, mechanics are challenged, and new design languages emerge before they ever find their way into weddings, events, and installations.

This is where the work begins.

ATELIER STUDY No. 01

Atelier Study No. 01 explores movement, asymmetry, and negative space through a foam-free floral installation created in our New Orleans atelier.

Every composition begins with observation.

A branch reaching toward the light.
A bloom leaning into another.
Color, texture, movement, and negative space finding their rhythm.

The atelier is where those observations become a composition.

Gathered. Composed. Edited. Refined.

Each stem is placed with intention until the arrangement no longer feels arranged.

It feels alive.

Not simply floral design.

Living sculpture.

Deep wine tones, trailing amaranthus, layered florals, and candlelit reflections tucked into one of New Orleans’ most romantic interiors.

We believe flowers should feel like they belong to the space — as though they’ve always lived there.
