This is a very nice collection of David C Roy’s work. The oldest one is the first one in the video it is weight driven produced in 1976. Mr. Roy has been at it for many years. He is featured in a TED talk and a Wired magazine article. Both worth looking up. We have carried his arts since the 1980s.

I know I have posted about the snakes. Mr. Chapman has upped himself again. The red colored snake is carved out of Padauk wood. It’s 60 inches long. The black one is, You guessed it Ebony. Also shown here is zebra wood and Leopard wood. Not too shabby on their own. Most striking and some thing I’ve never seen before. Wenge wood with a bleach technique.This technique gives the wood a striking two tone appearance.
