Ethiopia… the birth place of Coffee.

Taste of ripe coffee cherries dry on the beans and impart a fruity, berry sweetness. Berry, citrus and herbal notes predominate.

Ethiopia Harrar has medium to light acidity and a full body. Harrar can taste a bit wild and even jammy in comparison to Yirgacheffe, which are typically wet processed and tend to exhibit more citrus and floral notes.

“Celebrating Black History Month”

Here’s some BLACK HISTORY info…

Did you know… In the 9th century the effectiveness of Coffee Beans were discovered by an Ethiopian goatherd (Kaldi) who observed the stimulating effect of coffee when he noticed how excited his goats became after eating the beans from a coffee plant? 🪴

It was in the 15th century, when coffee beans were first exported out of Ethiopia to Yemen by Somali merchants. After a slow discovery in Africa, coffee went west into Europe to be discovered and coveted by the newer civilizations as well as east into Asia where it was planted and harvested.
