Saturday Curation: A holy grail moment for vintage glassware collectors... 🌸✨

While we all love hunting for the iconic milk glass Pyrex Cinderella nesting bowls, finding the celebrated 1957 Pink Gooseberry botanical pattern screen printed onto these rare clear glass footed sherbet bowls and matching saucers is an entirely different tier of discovery.

Standard Pink Gooseberry production was strictly reserved for opaque milk glass ovenware and casseroles. These dessert sets were manufactured by Anchor Hocking, masterfully silk-screening the coveted botanical motif onto their own premium clear glass so discerning hosts could flawlessly coordinate their dining tables with their baking displays.

The delicate pink vines wrap the transparent glass beautifully, capturing the light over our lace runners today. They offer the ultimate mid-century pop of color for a brunch table setting, an open shelving display, or even styled on a vanity as a beautiful statement dish for your everyday jewelry.

We have a beautiful limited stack of these available on the gallery floor today.

🫖 1980s Vintage Lenox Pavilion Teapot: An adorable, sculptural fine ivory porcelain teapot uniquely styled on wheels by Lenox, featuring intricate molded drapery detailing and a miniature tea set nestled right on its lid.

👑 1960s Royal Delft Blue Curation: An exceptional vintage Dutch lidded jar hand painted in traditional cobalt and white, proudly bearing the royal Netherlands motto Je maintiendrai. 🌸 1988 Shafford Fleurs du Jour Plates: A beautiful collection of raised texture floral plates from the Fleurs du Jour line by Shafford manufactured in 1988 perfect for adding an artistic layer to open shelving displays.

🌀 1970s Bennington Potters Spongeware: A beautifully textured blue and white splatter stoneware plate handcrafted by the legendary Bennington Potters of Vermont in their iconic pattern 1669 that brings immediate movement and rustic character to a casual stack.

Sunday in October 🩵✨.

We are still smiling about the festive energy on Magazine Street last night! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who strolled into the shop, sipped our special Satsuma Sangria with us, and celebrated Art for Art’s Sake. Meeting new faces and fellow collectors was the perfect highlight to our weekend. 🥂🎨

We are also incredibly honored to finally share some wonderful print news that just arrived!

Our vintage prop styling and culinary implements set the stage in the gorgeous new October “Nosh” spread for New Orleans Magazine. Our carefully curated pieces frame a beautiful, autumnal salad dish, shared by the talented Chef Chris Borges of and written and masterfully prepared by our delightfully gregarious friend Jyl Benson, is pure perfection! 🍂🍽️

A huge thank you to the masterful Larry Hanna for capturing this striking image plated on our on-trend green transferware with its beautiful antique shell and clover detailing. We are in complete awe of how they each so flawlessly command their craft. ✍️📸.

Setting the stage for something spectacular. 🍊💎

A glance behind the scenes of our official tablescape feature for the upcoming edition of The Scout Guide New Orleans. Swipe to see a little bit of the creative joy (and a very vibrant selfie yellow) that went into dressing this room!

For this showcase, we wanted to fill the charming space of Gallery 2 with a beautiful play of patterns, color, and texture: a mix of intricate blue geometric textiles, rich vintage amber glass, and beautifully layered heirloom porcelain. We are deeply honored to be a representative of the fabulous curation community on Magazine Street in this year’s guide.

The official print guide drops in 2027, but you can shop similar pieces featured on this table each week right here in our little shop.

The bittersweet joy of curation. 🌸✨

Today, I said goodbye to one of my absolute favorite pieces to ever grace the shelves at Avis Aldine. This spectacular vintage Fenton Cranberry Opalescent Hobnail ruffled vase is EVERYTHING. 💕

Sourcing these treasures is a true labor of love, but watching them leave our shop to bring elegance and magic into a new home is the ultimate reward.
