THE DOLL HAS SPOKEN:
Will the French Quarter street construction EVER end?!
It’s your favorite trans tarot reader in spirit—and resident glamorous doll—Tina, coming to you live from the velvet shelves of The Haunted Sax!
Lately, so many of you have wandered into the shop weeping over detours, missing tires, and the never-ending maze of orange cones, that I decided to dust off my deck and get some answers from the universe.
Because let’s be honest: even the ghosts are tired of tripping over the torn-up pavement on St. Philip St.
Here is what the cards laid out for our beloved, barricaded neighborhood:
FIRST CARD: Page of Swords.
Ah, yes. The energy of official announcements, sudden updates, and everyone pointing fingers. It means city officials are finally under the microscope (and the Governor's side-eye), forcing them to hand out grants just so our favorite local spots can survive the dust storms. We see you, we watch you, wrap it up!
SECOND CARD: Seven of Wands.
This is literally every single business owner and resident in the Quarter right now, standing on a pile of dirt, fiercely defending their sanity against an army of jackhammers. Between digging up 200-year-old historical artifacts and dodging utility delays, we’ve been fighting tooth and nail just to keep the doors open. Stay strong, babies, you’re holding the fort beautifully.
THIRD CARD: The Four of Wands!
Take a deep breath and pop the champagne, because the universe promises an end to the madness. The Four of Wands is the ultimate card of celebration, completed structures, and community joy. The spirits say the primary utility chaos is wrapping up by late fall! A solid, finished foundation is actually coming.
So hang in there, darlings. The pavement will return, the tourists will find their way without a compass, and peace will be restored to the Quarter.
Until then, dodge the craters, survive the detours, and come visit me at The Haunted Sax for a little spiritual refuge (and maybe a little gossip).
