We headed out to watch our son play football, but the storms had other plans and the game was canceled.

Then on the ride home, we caught this view. 🌅

There’s just something about the sound of the waves at 11 PM… the beach is quiet, the world seems a little slower, and you can’t help but stand there and take it all in.

These photos are from our last night in Vero Beach, and after another week of fishing, swimming, exploring, laughing, and making memories with the family, it was hard to say goodbye.

These are the moments Raiz’d Up Outfitters is really about. Not just the fishing. Not just the outdoors. It’s about getting out there with the people who matter most and making memories that our kids—and hopefully one day their kids—will carry with them.

👻 RAIZ’D UP GHOST HUNTING: VERO BEACH EDITION 👻

Well… apparently our Vero Beach adventures aren’t limited to fishing and the ocean. 😂🌴👻

We stay at the historic Driftwood Inn & Resort, and after hearing stories over the years about the place possibly being haunted, we finally decided it was time to do a little investigating of our own.

And things got interesting QUICK. 😳

While walking around, we passed an empty room where a light was ON and the fixture was noticeably swinging back and forth. You can actually see it in the video.

We kept walking all the way to the end, turned around and came back. The light was STILL ON.

About 10 steps later, we started heading down the stairs…

The light was OFF. 👀

Of course, we had to go back. 😂 We looked into the room again, and not only was the light off—the fixture that had been swinging was now completely still.

Okay… weird.

But apparently our ghost tour wasn’t finished.

We walked past this strange sun-looking face on top of the building. While we were standing there joking around about Waldo and his shadow, the thing suddenly CAME ON and started spraying water out of its mouth. 😂😳

We figured, okay, it must be motion activated.

Except after we walked back by… it stopped.

So naturally we waited for it to happen again.

Nothing.

And just to make this a little stranger—I’ve been coming to this EXACT resort for around 15 years, and I have NEVER seen that thing spray water. Not once. 😂👻

Coincidence? Sensors? Old building doing old-building things?

Or did somebody at the Driftwood decide to have a little fun with us? 👀

Either way, it made for one heck of a ghost-hunting adventure.

And I have to give HUGE credit to our 5-year-old investigator. ❤️ She came along wanting to see what we could find. She definitely got a little spooked when things started getting weird, but she hung in there and STILL wanted to keep investigating.

That’s a Raiz’d Up kid right there. 💪😂
