David Joseph Sticha, age 67, of New Prague, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 8, 2024, after fighting complications related to cancer.

Just popping in to say a "See you later!" to all of our friends, members, shoppers, followers, and supporters!

We closed this chapter in the sweetest way possible by passing along - and sometimes even delivering - our equipment to several other local food/beverage/ag establishments. You might see some of our stuff at , , Braucher's Sunshine Harvest Farm, , , Sugar Rose Bakeshop, ...just to name some! I look forward to patronizing these great local businesses, now as a customer! I hope you do the same.

HUGE thanks to the friends & family who helped us over the last 6 weeks. Extra huge thanks to my parents: Ken & Marge Sticha. They were there when we opened. They are here now...and they've been there every step of the way in between. 😘

Once again, we want to thank you for your support over the last 7 years! It's been so rewarding!

New siding. Who dis? 😎

So, remember when we said we expected that finding new owners for this little gem of a property might take a while? I guess we were wrong!

We have accepted an offer from Chris & Nichole Davis of New Prague and we plan to hand off the (metaphorical) keys on September 1st!

We had two really strong offers for the building and it was a very hard decision to make but we feel confident that the Davis family will do many great things with this property. Chris & Nichole really love New Prague and I know that they are driven to continue adding to this great community.

So, what will come of this property?
The inn will transition - as is - to the Davises and will continue operating like normal, but under a new name.
The main floor will undergo some construction for it's new tenant. I cannot yet share what's coming to this space...but you will like it!

As of right now, we are planning for Thursday, 8/18 to be our last open-to-the-public hours.

Little Big Sky Farm CSA members: we are working on an alternative pick-up location in New Prague for you. Stay tuned.

Members: your discount will increase to 15% starting this Saturday as we work to clear out our existing inventory.

Someone stole from our favorite local flower farm. Not cool! 😡 I'm sharing so we can remind them that the good outweighs the bad. Consider buying a bouquet from their farmstand next Saturday or sending a venmo payment now to help them offset this loss.

This is never a post a business owner wants to write, but some jerk broke our cash box and stole all of our money on Saturday. We are sad and furious that someone would do this.

This year with the drought has been difficult enough that every penny counts. I know I’m writing an emotional post, and should probably walk away and come back, but it’s just so frustrating. We truly wanted to offer a place for local friends and neighbors to be able to have the opportunity to purchase local farm products grown from our heart.

Thankfully we do have a camera and we’ll be sifting through that but it looks like there may be a chance that it was destroyed. Cross your fingers we got enough footage.
