Welcome, everyone.
Whether this is your first meeting or your thousandth, we're grateful you're here. No matter what
substance, behavior, or struggle brought you through these doors, you belong. Recovery is not
reserved for a certain addiction, background, belief, or story. It is for anyone seeking freedom from
suffering and a new way to live.
Today, we gather not because we are perfect, but because we are willing. Willing to be honest.
Willing to listen. Willing to grow. Willing to support one another.
In this room, we leave judgment at the door. We do not compare our stories, our clean time, or our
struggles. Instead, we recognize that addiction may wear many faces, but recovery begins the
same way—with courage, humility, and hope.
Many of us have discovered that healing begins when we stop trying to carry everything alone.
Whether you call it God, a Higher Power, the Dharma, Love, Truth, the Universe, the wisdom of this
group, or simply something greater than yourself, we invite you to consider the possibility that you
do not have to walk this path by your own strength alone.
For just this moment, may we be willing to surrender what we cannot control. May we release the
burdens we have carried by ourselves for too long. May we trust that guidance, strength, and peace
can be found when we open our hearts to something greater than our own fears and self-will.
As we begin, let us remember:
