So, I saw on our Local Fox 35 news today once again thieves struck boats on the water in Brevard county taking sonar units. This happens often unfortunately. These units can cost an owner thousands and thousands of dollars.

Listen folks I can help at least keep these POS thieves from using these units when they steal them and will not be able to pawn them. Garmin and most other chart plotter units like Hummingbird, Raymarine, Simrad, etc all have a security feature on them where you can enter a password to even to be able to turn it on.

For example, I use Garmin chart plotters. When I power my unit on before it lets me do anything what so ever I must enter the password. If no password is entered the unit is worthless, nothing. Not even a Garmin Tech can get into it. No this does not stop them from stealing it. But it helps to P**S THEM OFF!! This will keep these punks A** POS thieves from even being able to sell or use them. It is so easy to do.

Been a mixed bag the past weeks. Off shore at the reefs and wrecks have been fun. The lane and the elusive "red" snapper are non stop. Inshore tarpon jacks sheeps and redfish. New Smyrna Beach at Ponce Inlet and the Backcountry waters of the Mosquito Lagoon here in Edgewater Florida.

The start of summer is here on the Mosquito Lagoon and New Smyrna Beach just east of Orlando. As we are ending May summer time is at our door knocking. With this brings in my opinion some of the best fishing of the entire year. So many people say it is "too hot" but they are so wrong!! Past few days we have had all kinds of fish. Redfish, snook, drum, the odd ones even and tarpon. We found a steady stream of redfish casting mangrove banks as well. The ocean will be going smooth soon allowing us for big beach tarpon and reefs/wrecks soon!! Kids love this and we are a family friendly event for all ages. Call or email me to book!! Looking back over the years and the thousands upon thousands of charters I have done on the Mosquito Lagoon, some of the pictures are rinse and repeat. Then there are ones like this one, that a handful of humans will have on earth and experience in person. Living here on the Mosquito Lagoon you get a front row seat daily.
