We've had a lot of friends and customers come one last time and wish us a "Happy Retirement" during the last few months. This week my high school classmate, Marge Sutherland and her husband, Paul came once again. I didn't keep track over the years, but except for Vicky Badavinac, Marge has probably stopped by to visit the bookstore more than anyone else from "Da Range". We have tomorrow and Tuesday left (sixteen store hours, but whose counting???). Our first day of retirement will be Christmas Eve, so that's our "present" to each other! Thanks again, for Twenty Eight and a Half

The City of New Ulm extends our heartfelt gratitude for your decades of dedication, hard work, and the countless memories you’ve helped create. Your presence has been an important part of the vibrancy and success of our beautiful downtown.

As you step into retirement, we wish you all the joy, rest, and new adventures you truly deserve. Thank you for being such a valued part of our community — enjoy this well-earned new chapter!

The sign on the shelves for books that were made into movies had another sign that said, "...or, the book is always better!"
Less than three weeks until we retire. (That would be 20 days, or 17 days if you don't include Sundays... but, who's counting!)

Less than four months until we retire. There will be coffee and books in our next big adventure. Reading may be weird to some, but for me it's a good "weird" and, hopefully, I plan on doing a lot of reading in the years to come. Enjoy the Fall. ~~ Jer
