Been crazy busy here again but just want to let people know I will be open for the opener hopefully with plenty of shinners. I apologize to those who have stopped and I haven't been here or open. It's best to call or text to see what I have or if I'm here I hope you all understand. Just want to say thanks to everyone for stopping in this weekend weather was absolutely fantastic. Well it's been awhile since I've been on here i would apologize but I have been busy. Like last year I won't be open on a daily basis so if you think I might have something you want or need call or text me at 218 639 8933. I will be open this weekend and look forward to seeing everyone. Yes I have shiners. They are and will be in limited supply so please don't ask for any gallons.. lol. Been crazy busy this last couple months been meaning to post but it's really been one thing after another. Fishing has been good summer patterns are starting to develop with a variety of techniques producing fish. Water Temps have soared with most lakes in the 76 to 78 surface temp area. Very warm for this time of year. Crawlers leeches and minnows all producing fish depths vary from lake to lake. Thanks to all for understanding my situation regarding the shop but it's hard to be in 2 places at once. So call or preferably text to see if I have what you want or need. Thanks have fun be safe. Had the pleasure of having this young man and his father or his morning thinking they're eating good tonight.

So here it is. I'm not entirely out of the retail bait business yet.. maybe I'll never be. Lol. I'll have bait on hand I just won't be open on a daily basis do to other commitments so if you think you need something I might have feel free to call me or text. 218 639 8933. I will be open this weekend for the opener starting Thursday I will have spottails which at this point have been scarce. Crawlers and leeches won't be a problem but other minnows will be due to the severity of the winter. It is what it is. Thanks for your

First off I'd like to apologize for not posting but there hasn't been much to post. With that said I will get to it. It is with much thought and consideration that I've came to the conclusion that I will be closing the doors on the retail side of the business. Scott's Bait and Tackle will be no more. I appreciate all of you through the years and realize it's not fair to you if you come and I'm not here good help is hard to find and unfortunately they're are times that I cannot be here to serve you. I will however continue to manufacture the Finns Best fishing tackle and will continue to do taxidermy as well as guide in the area. Feel free to contact me with any questions or needs. Thank You

September has been a blur it seemed to just fly by. I've been really busy and fishing has been very good on most lakes. Fish are responding to cooler temps and shorter days bite windows have opened up and you will find the midday hours may be the best. Oct can be fantastic. Many techniques are producing jigs,rigs,bohncers,cranks, pitching,bobbers even shore fishing. Take advantage of these days they're numbered have fun be safe. Sorry if I missed you but I gotta go when I gotta go.
