Over the past year, my incredible friends and I have poured our hearts and minds into building a groundbreaking solution to tackle the alarming rates of malaria-related deaths in sub-Saharan Africa.

Malaria's devastating impact is deeply personal to us, and exacerbated by the lack of early and accurate diagnosis, especially in remote communities. With this in mind, we set out to create more than just a healthcare initiative; we aimed for a revolution.

I want to introduce you to Mari Test – the first-of-its-kind, non-invasive, solar-powered, bloodless diagnostic device for malaria. We've harnessed the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced sensor technology to make early detection fast, accurate, and user-friendly, even in regions with limited access to medical practitioners.

It's been one hell of a year for me already, lol. But, with hope as my fuel, I keep moving. Constantly pushing myself to the limits, constantly striving to learn from my mistakes and do better, constantly evolving.

I've learned the hard way, that we miss 100% of the shots we don't take. I want you to know this:

You don't get any better by waiting and hoping for one day when it'll all click. You get better by starting from day one, and practicing till it all clicks, and before you realize it, you're already in the one day you've always dreamt about.

I totally enjoyed every minute of the six weeks spent in this internship. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have learned from some of the best in the field. I'm glad I got to meet and work with amazing people. Above all, I'm glad I got to learn and practice something new.

Some months ago, I had no idea whatsoever what product design was, but here I am.

Designed a messaging app interface for Side hustle interns and mentors to communicate, collaborate, and stay connected.

tonight, I'm sitting on a wooden stool,
holding my guitar firmly to my chest.

I'm strumming a song from the 90s and perceiving the strong aroma of mother's Jollof rice.
she's not here but somehow,
her essence is.

I don't know the lyrics of what I'm singing, but my guitar & I can work that out.

I'm looking up into the skies,
guessing the names of each star,
trying to paint a picture.

a picture of a perfect world.

a world where people are not burnt to death by people;
where people are not shot at
by people.

a world where people are not ruled by people; where people do not steal from people.

a world where laughter & peace are not found only in children's books & fairy tales.

a world where my mother & her Jollof rice can be real again.

I know it's a lot of things to paint, but look!
don't I have enough ink?

please, permit me to paint a perfect world.

It's been almost a year since I wrote a song, and that's why I was so happy to have written one yesterday.

I shared it with a few friends, and the love and encouragement I received was overwhelming.

Maybe I'll make this a real song, just maybe!
