Another pattern test ☑️

I had a ball making this Chibi Mimic Snowy fox (we all know who this is right? 😂🩵)

Although this pattern has a lot of sewing, I actually had a ball creating this lil guy!
I also enjoyed embroidering the eyes - because there is no right or wrong way to make them!!

Thank you so much Ewelina Backtrog for including me in this pattern test!

If you like this guy, head to Ewelina Backtrog page to see ALL the evolutions - they are stunning 🤩😏
There are also some free patterns on the kofi! 😉

A Platypus ?!
PERRY THE PLATYPUS!

Making this cutie pie truly healed part of me.
I grew up watching (& loving) Phineas & Ferb & even today I make references to the show.

Perry is THE Platypus!

Temu Mike Wazowski, or a cute monster ?
🤣

One of my coworkers is having her second child (another boy 🩵) & I had asked her what theme the nursery would be.
She was so excited to tell me it was originally Monsters Inc. themed but she was having such a hard time finding affordable items for the room bc they don’t really make Monsters Inc. products anymore!
That was the most heartbreaking and surprising thing to me, because how are people not still in love with one of the best Pixar movies?!
It only came out…. *googles* ALMOST 25 YEARS AGO 🙊

So I went home, scrolling through patterns, found this guy and I couldn’t help myself!

This lil guy was so easy to make and surprisingly quick for the size!
I’m looking to make another one, maybe blue??? 🤩
Comment what color you would want to see next!

Things I made my niece for her birthday - Year 5

Ghost-Spider (Spider-Gwen)
🕷️🕸️🤍

Earlier this year my niece had dressed up as Ghost-Spider for Superhero Day at school.
Seeing this little girl that loves dresses and bows dress up as a superhero made my heart so happy!
I love seeing children show pure love for anything, even if it isn’t stereotypically ‘meant’ for them.
The enthusiasm she showed in that costume was truly enviable 🥹

So it was clear to me what to make her this year, with her new found love for the Spiderverse!

& the best part of this - it was also a stash buster project because I didn’t need to buy ANY new materials 👏🏽

I can’t wait to see what I make next year for her 🩷

A post going viral on X today is calling out something a lot of young people are probably tired of hearing, that struggling in your 20s is just part of life and every generation went through it.

The post makes the point that there is a big difference between general hardship and what young people are dealing with today, think $3,200 rent, $10 eggs, $50,000 in student debt and barely any job security to speak of.

It is the kind of thing that is easy to dismiss until you actually look at the numbers, and a lot of Gen Z are saying this post puts into words exactly what they have been feeling.

The comparison between then and now is what seems to be hitting hardest, because it is not just about struggle, it is about the scale of it being something genuinely new.

The last project I made in 2025 was this blanket for one of my best friends and it was actually pure joy for me.

With the last year focused on my wedding, I created a few things (that I will share at some point) but life moved so fast I felt like there was almost no time to crochet (or at least to enjoy crocheting).

So I knew I wanted a project that wasn’t going to require a lot of brain power to help kick start my passion for crochet again.

After having to physically move ALL of my yarn a couple month ago, I also realized I have too much stocked up and no actual plans for it all. (I like a lot of pretty yarn, what can I say 🤷‍♀️)

With all of that, was born this blanket for my friend. I knew that she would love it, even if it ended up being 12 different colors (which it almost did by the time I got to the end😂)

What started as a stash buster, created a love for C2C (corner to corner) crochet and I am anxiously scrolling the internet for inspiration to make more C2C designs. (I do have one potential idea queued up - check out my story for the idea!)

I was always too intimidated to try out C2C and now I’m upset I waited this long! It was so easy and fun to watch the picture grow as I crocheted.
It was different than the normal rows and I love it.

Taking any and all C2C (and/or stash busting) crochet ideas!
