Our cargo sailboat, Grain de Sail II, set sail on Monday, November 11th, with its holds filled with fine goods (wine, cosmetics, textiles...). Next stop: New York. See you in a few days!

Big announcement!!! 📣

Our cargo sailboats, Grain de Sail I and Grain de Sail II, will soon be welcoming a new vessel to the Grain de Sail fleet.

A revolution: a pure 110-meter-long (360 ft) sailboat capable of carrying 200 20-foot containers for a load of around 3,000 tons in the hold—this is our future sailing vessel.

Development is underway! Together with L2Onaval and Les Chantiers de L’Atlantique, Grain de Sail is developing cutting-edge technology for large rigid sails, featuring three masts with reefing capabilities, all equipped with a SOLID SAIL rigging system.

With 4,000 m² (43,055 ft²) of sail area and a maximum air draft of 62.5 meters, it will be able to complete transatlantic crossings in approximately 13 days!
The launch of the vessel is expected around 2027.
This will allow us to continue reducing CO2 emissions by over 90% for many years to come.
