We've never turned off comments on this page before. I would like to ask before we use that option that all who wish to comment please refrain from questioning the treatment that the rehabilitation center and their other expert professional support team are providing for Jackie. We know that this is the most sensitive and hardest time for followers of Jackie & Shadow. We will share with you all our personal and natural ways that Lori, Owen and I are dealing with this situation. We are the admins and creators of this page. We are LONG TIME locals who live in Big Bear. We have observed and photographed Jackie since she arrived in Big Bear with Mr B in October of 2016. We are stunned and each quietly reflecting and keeping faith, hope, love and concern for not only Jackie & Shadow but also for those who are caring for her and treating her illness. Sometimes, not overthinking or making public comments is actually in order and is respectful to those professionals who are treating Jackie and delivering the updates. They are trying to not only inform but educate us all regarding Jackie's illness and her well being which is more than generous of them. We want to leave the comments turned on so you can say pleasant, kind, thoughtful and loving things you are thinking and feeling. If you can't keep the comments flowing in that manner we do ask that you PLEASE don't comment. Let us show compassion and thankfulness towards the professionals who are doing everything humanly possible for Jackie. Let us be compassionate to one another. Let us keep our thoughts, prayers, wishes and love for Jackie & Shadow going in a direction that is focused on their interest and well being and not so much about our own desires. I'm not perfect and I'm probably muffing up by writing this right now, yet all these words are flowing out.... I'm truly at a loss for words now and that is why I am not responding or posting lately as I normally try to do and my way of dealing with this situation is to be more in a mode of silence and keeping my thoughts to myself. If there was ever ONE or two things that we can all agree on - I imagine and believe it would be that Jackie & Shadow have taught us all a little more about LOVE and unity. I see comments rolling out on each of the eagle pages/groups and it ails me when I see so many going at it in a negative way and it also feels inappropriate seeing so many trying to tell the people at the raptor center who are caring for Jackie what they should or should not be doing. This is a time to master discipline, trust and respect and give it to GOD and to the professionals and let go of trying to know everything and telling others what they should do or know or believe etc. Again, this is not a perfect post but it is from my heart and soul. We really do want to leave the comments turned on. This page is here for all of us who enjoy sharing, learning and caring about the visiting and local eagles in Big Bear Lake. - Trish
I really love watching how Jackie & Shadow look at one another. This is one of my favorite moments of observing them back in 2019.
