It was such a beautiful sight, seeing Jamaican pride in full display 🖤💚💛.

I’ve lived in “Little Caribbean” my entire life, so I’ve always seen Caribbean culture on full display. However, Jamaica has never had its own celebration. With the way Brooklyn, and NYC as a whole, has been changing over recent years, today warmed my heart.

The day was hot and the people were out in droves, so my little man was quite overwhelmed. That meant we only saw the very beginning of the parade. Either way, I’m grateful for even that tiny snippet of the experience.

This was such an amazing event!

To be in the room with these amazing, creative, talented, and successful people who have achieved so much was extremely inspiring.

I’ve got so much I want to share about this evening that I’ll have to spread it out across multiple posts, but I wanted to thank Shopify and renae bluitt of She Did That. for making this event happen.

Big shoutouts and thank you’s to Brandon Haughton- Blackwood (BRANDON BLACKWOOD), Ashlee Muhammad (BeEyeConic™️ 🌹), and Wilglory Tanjong (ANIMA IRIS ) for a great panel discussion and being awesome people.
