Waking up overlooking the Peconic River was the perfect way to start a North Fork getaway. We truly enjoyed our short stay at Hyatt Place East End. Sometimes the best part of traveling is simply slowing down.

Yesterday’s evening walk turned into today’s breakfast. 🫐 🧺

Wild wineberries and blueberries are in season here in New York, and there’s something incredibly satisfying about eating food you gathered yourself. Paired with Greek yogurt and granola, this might be my favorite summer breakfast.

⚠️ Only forage plants you can identify with complete confidence, and always harvest responsibly. Leave berries for others, most importantly wildlife.
Wineberries are considered an invasive specie in NY.
