Butala Emporium is a third-generation family owned small business based in New York City. When we began in 1991, our shops were one of the first & few places in the country to provide goods exclusively from India: a direct link to our culture straight from its source

Recognizing the importance of rituals, small or big, we grew to provide our growing diaspora community with the necessary resources

to live exactly as they did back home: a one-stop-shop for all things Hinduism & South Asian lifestyle. Many recall our origins as booksellers & curators of traditional Indian furniture, statues, & art: a hidden gem favored by academics & art-lovers.
