As one of the nation’s most important African-American cultural landmarks Huemanbooks, a black-women-owned independent bookstore, is resuming operations both online and offline. As a unique independent bookstore, we have been promoting diversity through literature for a decade. Now that we are back in action, we have doubled down on our commitment to celebrating diversity, human rights, promote equality, inspiring reading, elevate voices, and unite communities to embrace the world through books. Huemanbooks as an independent bookstore has partnered with Ground Central Coffee Company, a fellow independent business. Through our partnership with this independent coffee shop chain, we can sell books in-store, host exciting live events, including author story readings and book launches.
