Gymboree Play & Music of Manhattan is looking for energetic and charismatic instructors for our early childhood classes for children newborn to 5 years old.
We have immediate openings at our Manhattan locations for part-time instructors with both weekday and weekend availability.
Successful applicants will have a tuneful singing voice, a naturally positive and playful nature, strong group-facilitation skills and an ability to create excitement in classes for children newborn to 5 and their parents/caregivers. They must demonstrate an ability to learn and deliver the Gymboree Play & Music curriculum and lesson plans.
Gymboree teachers also work at our guest check-in desk and get involved in all aspects of guest services and sales. They achieve sales goals, deliver exceptional customer service, perform basic reception-desk functions and maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness.
Gymboree Play & Music created the business of developmental play and learning for babies and young children and their parents/caregivers 40 years ago. Our programs are developed by experts across many areas of child development and we remain the leader in the field. Gymboree Play & Music classes are available in over 700 centers in 40 countries worldwide. In Manhattan, we run more than 200 classes a week at 7 centers, plus private birthday parties and special events.
Experience teaching and/or entertaining children in a group environment is a plus, as is a degree in early childhood education, musical theatre or music.
