Today, we have the news to announce that Citizen Editions will be ending distribution and fulfillment services in the new year. Thank you to everyone — publishers, shops, and steadfast art book buyers — who has supported the project along the way.

Our online shop will continue to take orders until the end of December. As we wrap up, we encourage you, as always, to support independent publishing — and the bookstores that stock these unique and vibrant books — to help uphold the ecosystem that allows artists and their work to succeed.

Thank you again to all involved, and we look forward to what’s next.

MUD 1-4 is a collection of 4 separate volumes, banded together, chronicling the collaboration between Arnaud Lajeunie () and Georgia Pendleberry (.pendlebury). Over the course of 4 consecutive Augusts, the two put together these portraits of young women lounging in late summer sun, capturing dreamy and playful moments between these girls in constructed scenes of intimacy. With stickers! Published by Art Paper Editions () and available now. The project will continue with a 5th volume next year.

We are proud to announce the addition of Saint Lucy Books () to our roster of publishers. Based in Baltimore, they have been publishing beautiful and thoughtful books since 2017. We are representing them as they are set to release Maya Deren, Choreographed for Camera by Mark Alice Durant this October. This is the first full biography of the influential experimental filmmaker ever published.

We’ve got a new one published by Lodret Vandret () called SCRIM by Ida Nissen (). This is both a collection of finished collage works as well as a testament to Nissen’s process as an image maker and splicer. Playful and cryptic in its exploration of fabric weaves and patterning. Richly designed, presented with a beautiful silver Pantone ink throughout. Available now!

We are pleased to have John Divola’s () most recent book SCAPES, published by Skinnerboox (). Following up his sold out CHROMA from the same publisher, this book collects some of John’s most groundbreaking black and white series including Occupied Landscape, Isolated Houses, As Far As I Could Get and Dogs Chasing My Car in the Desert.
