Well, it’s been one wild ride. Tomorrow, ID.me will be officially announcing its acquisition of Perkla.

Our humble startup that began on a laptop at Columbia Business School, landed us in the pages of GQ Magazine, on national television and one giant Times Square billboard, garnered some big news.

Yep, we’re graduating. Perkla’s CEO Justin Belmont will carry on our mission as ID.me’s new Director of Product Management. ID.me, named one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s “100 Brilliant Companies”, brings resources and opportunities that will enable us to create even more value for students.

Over the past year, we have been blown away as major retail brands like Reebok, Express, Nine West, Converse and Cole Haan came together on Perkla to offer exclusive student deals. We would like to take this time to thank those partners, and most importantly, our student members and brand ambassadors from over 150 different colleges and universities for your continued support in our evolution.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be migrating Perkla over to ID.me, so we encourage you to set up an account if you don’t already have one. We’re also actively looking to add new student deals so if you know any retailers who’d like to get on board, reach out to [email protected].
