This monumental Austrian Savonnerie (c. 1920) stands as a towering achievement of the late Belle Époque period, capturing the transition from 19th-century opulence to the refined neoclassicism of the early 20th century.

The palette is a decadent symphony of warmth: a shimmering field of golden-yellow and honeyed ochre. The design reveals a rigorous vertical symmetry, where columns of scrolling acanthus leaves and stylized floral garlands rise upon an expansive olive-beige field.

A smart choice for both a dressed-up formal setting and a more relaxed contemporary look.

High Point Market Spring 2026 — hands down our biggest and most rewarding market yet.

We brought a big crew with us — over 15 team members — and it felt like our presence stretched across the entire city. This season we went bigger than ever with three standalone showrooms, each showcasing a completely different side of our collection. Our contemporary productions at Suites at Market Square, decorative antiques at IHFC, and a really soulful, bohemian curation with a collected feel at the new 313 Spaces building, which might be one of the most exciting spots at market right now.
On top of that, we placed over 50 of our rugs in beautiful vignettes all across High Point, including showrooms like Alfredo Paredes, Sherrill Furniture, James Michael Howard, Lilian August, House of DuVäl, and others.

It was such an incredible season — exhausting but so damn rewarding. Seeing old friends, meeting new ones, and getting to show this kind of range and footprint in one market felt pretty special.

Can’t wait to see what comes next.

Paule Leleu was one of the most distinguished carpet designers in twentieth-century France. The daughter of celebrated interior designer Jules Leleu, she joined the family’s renowned Parisian design house at a young age, eventually rising to head its textile department and serve as the firm’s colorist. Taking over as chief rug designer in 1936, she went on to create more than 500 carpet designs over the course of her career. Her work is marked by bold color, refined geometric patterning, and from the 1940s onward, richly ornamental floral compositions. Her rugs remain highly prized examples of French Art Deco and mid-century decorative art.
