At John Koch Antiques, and our sister store Scott & Bowne in Kent, Connecticut we have been known as established buyers and sellers of fine antique & estate furnishings for over thirty years. You'll find an eclectic mix of home decor from vintage and modern furniture to decorative accessories, rugs, lamps, fine art, porcelain and silver. As an aggressive buyer of estates for the past twenty years we are able to supply our stores in Manhattan located at 201 West 84th Street, and 27 North Main Street, Kent, CT with a constant flow of new goods. We offer our own unique blend of selected antique, vintage and mid-century furniture and art. We love presenting this eclectic look, and have done so ever since we first opened our doors. Recently, our longstanding concept to blend these various modes of decor was hailed in the New York Times as the latest trend in retail.

At John Koch Antiques we get asked a great deal of questions on any given day-and it helps us to help you find that perfect vintage or antique item you’ve been looking for.

We’ve been a wholesale buyer of estates in the New York City area for over 30 years-we’re open to the public and to the trade. Through the years we’ve had stores at different locations but now we’re consolidated into one 5000 square foot warehouse out in Queens only a few stops from Manhattan on the 7 train -easier to get to with plenty of parking.

So whether it’s Rugs, lighting, bookcases, tables, seating, artwork, collectables, tableware or just that really fascinating vintage find you don’t even know you want until you see it, we encourage everyone to come by and browse through our aisles and ASK QUESTION! We’re happy to help.

Remembering Gloria Steinem 1934-2026.
Ms. Steinem once bought an antique pyrography desk with the inscription “Look Into Thine Heart and Write”.
She talks about it in her Architectural Digest tour of her New York apartment. What an honor to be able to connect a legendary New Yorker with a piece that was clearly meant for them.
Today we remember Gloria Steinem, writer, journalist, activist, feminist ICON.
