I finally got to reset my spaces at Antique Marketplace and you know I live for a theme! First up we have a cozy autumn reading nook full of warm little landscapes and 70s mushroom details. Then we’ve got the pirate captains office but plot twist: she’s a mermaid. And last we have my moody opera house dressing room. Hot tip: I have some truly awesome vintage sweaters and blazers and fall staples stocked in this space right now. And a gorgeous selection of vintage nighties and peignoirs. to 10 years ago today, my very first time at Washington Midsummer Ren Faire, first time being a , wearing the first I ever made. My outfit was some fabric I draped and sewed badly, and an Amazon corset I couldn’t breathe in. My false eyelashes are falling off in this pic. AND YET. I had the most magical time and got a million encouraging compliments. I walked around in awe and delight thinking to myself “I want to do THIS”. All these years later as I sit in my studio in a chaotic sea of flowers and jewelry parts, madly gluing and creating for the final weekend of the season, dreaming up an outfit from my now enviable wardrobe of artisan made garb, I’m reminded that past versions of me would think that current me is a dream come true 🧚🏼✨
