Mining the archive for Fall inspiration. These shots were taken back in 2017 by the insanely talented ray spears is rayneutron in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Andrew Chen generously linked us up and the rest was history. These shots were actually part of a larger Wooden Sleepers look book, something that was not really done by vintage shops at the time. I wanted to plant our flag, share my vision for the Wooden Sleepers look. I created looks from the shop inventory, which was an extension of my own personal style and wardrobe, mixing military, workwear, Ivy, and outdoors. Layering the longer M-51 fishtail under a cowichan sweater was counter intuitive, but I like the result. Probably influenced by EG. At the time, a high/low pairing of thrashed Carhartt double knees and Alden Norwegian split toes shoes seemed novel. I stand by it. Would probably wear this today without thinking twice. Anyway, save and apply it to your own style if you like.✌🏼
