We have some new sanitation efforts taking effect this week!

The Jerome Gunhill BID looks different this week.

Loose bags on the curb = rats, smell, and a bad first impression for every shop behind them.

Meet the new Citibins. Sealed, rat-proof, and staying put. Trash goes in. Doors locked by local sanitation team and DSNY. Sidewalk stays clear.

We don’t realize how much a painted traffic/light pole in our corridors makes a huge difference. We see all these papers that get posted and graffiti so often we get desensitized to it, but a clean neighborhood starts with the small steps.

Sometimes all a business needs is a cleaner storefront. Beautification is a core part of keeping the BID presentable and looking great for our community as well as people visiting our corridor.

During the end of April we had an earth day event with parks at Williamsbridge oval center.

Even though it was a rainy day, people showed up and enjoyed some earth day themed books, planting, face painting and good vibes.
