📚✨ This Saturday’s book club meet was everything we love about the Hudson Valley — sunshine, amazing conversation, delicious drinks, great food, and even better company! 🥂☀️💛

📚🔥 BANNED BOOKS WEEK: OCTOBER 5–11, 2025 🔥📚

As we enter Banned Book Club Week, I’m reminded of our why here at Rebel Reads Media, to fight censorship, give a voice to the unheard, and celebrate individuality. 💪✨

This year’s theme says it best: “Censorship Is So 1984. Read for Your Rights.” With book bans escalating across libraries, schools, and bookstores, George Orwell’s 1984 feels more relevant than ever, a warning about the dangers of silencing ideas.

At Rebel Reads, we stand with the American Library Association and readers everywhere in defending the freedom to read. “We must always come together to stand up for the right to read.”

Books unite us, challenge us, and give power to our voices. Let’s keep reading — loudly, proudly, and freely. ❤️📖

As I reflect today, my heart feels the weight of all that was lost on 9/11. Twenty-four years have passed, yet the ache is still there. I think of the heroes who gave everything, the civilians whose lives were cut short, and the families who have carried unimaginable grief every single day.

New York City is not just a place where I have lived, worked, and loved—it’s a place that myself, family, and friends have all called home. The skyline, the spirit, and the stories of that day are a part of who we are. The memories are painful, but they are also a reminder of the courage, strength, and love that rose from the ashes.

As I reflect, I carry with me a vow to never forget—not just the tragedy, but the people, the bravery, and the strength that defined that day. Time moves on, but my heart will always pause here. Always remembering. Always honoring.

The picture above of the Freedom Towers, taken by me, is more than just a photo—it is a reminder I carry closely, a symbol of both loss and enduring spirit, and a way to honor the countless lives that will never be forgotten. Every time I look at it, I’m reminded why we must Never Forget! 🇺🇸
