CUSTOM MADE TABLE — built to precision.

This millinery hat machine came in needing a home, so we built her one. Custom order table, cut and fitted to the machine — not the other way around.

Every measurement pre-sized with precision. Motor placement, height, knee lift clearance, belt line — all specially made for this head, for this operator, for the way she actually sews.

We don’t adapt machines to tables. We build the table around the machine.

Special made. Custom made. Precision every time.

If you need a custom table for your hat machine, straw machine, or any industrial head — we make it.

It came in completely dead., jammed, wouldn’t turn at all.

Millinery machine — built for hats. Today it walks out of here running at 100%.

We freed the mechanism, corrected the timing, and set it back the way it’s supposed to be.

Janome Memory Craft 6600P — came in not sewing a single stitch. Timing was off.

Here’s what most people don’t know: if you sew heavy work, losing timing is NORMAL. The hook drive shaft is round and held by set screws on purpose — under heavy resistance it slips instead of snapping gears or cracking the hook.

The timing going off is the machine protecting itself. Better a timing job than a broken part.

Re-timed, adjusted, sewing like new. 🩺

This Juki MO-644D came in completely locked up. Wouldn’t turn a single revolution.

The owner thought it was finished.

Nothing was broken. Nothing was bent. Nothing was worn out.

It was dry. That’s it.

A serger runs thousands of stitches a minute on metal-to-metal contact. No oil, no movement. Eventually it seizes.

Cleaned it, oiled it, put it back together. Runs like new.

Oil your machine. Oil it. Oil it. Oil it.

Patient: Bernina 1230
Diagnosis: motor completely burned out and seized
Prognosis: “not worth fixing” — according to everyone else 🚫

We disagreed. The motor came apart, got rebuilt, and went back in. Today this machine runs quiet, strong, and smooth — and her owner walked out with a machine that feels brand new. ⚙️🧵

This is what we do at City Sewing Machine Corp II. Authorized service and sales for Juki, Singer, Bernina, Janome, Elna and Brother — 300 West 38th Street, Manhattan, plus our Brooklyn location.

HE PULLED UP IN A PORSCHE WITH A DESTROYED SEWING MACHINE
IN THE TRUNK . 🩺

The man is an award-winning classic Porsche restorer. First-place
trophies. The kind of craftsman who knows that a car is only as good
as the hands that touched it.

This Pfaff 1445 was handed down to him by another Porsche restorer —
a man who spent his life doing this same work and has since retired.
That’s not a purchase. That’s a torch being passed.

By the time it reached him, the machine was destroyed. Someone had
already tried to repair it and made it worse. Shop after shop turned
him away — too far gone, not worth the hours, find another machine.

Then he showed up at my door with it wedged into that little front
trunk, and he told me what it meant to him.

I’m a restorer too. He restores cars, I restore machines — same
disease. 😅 I saw the passion in him and I knew exactly how it felt.
So I told him: leave it with me.

Originally a double-needle machine, now converted to a single needle.
A powerhouse built for heavy leather and heavy work — and today it’s
running in top condition, back in the hands of the man who deserves it.

A retired craftsman’s machine, restored for the next one.
That’s the whole job right there.

BEFORE ➡️ AFTER ✨ Straw braid chain stitch machine restored for a milliner client!

This antique Willcox & Gibbs machine stitches straw braid into hat brims + crowns — a true specialty tool. Came in rusted and frozen up, left running smooth with her original gold striping shining again. 🧵🎩

No machine too old, too rare, or too far gone.
