We began our mission on September 18th 2012 with the inspiration and motivation from our beautiful mother Jo Ann Ensanian, who we had lost earlier that summer. Like many of you we had witnessed such a variety of complications and watched our mother slowly suffer for far too long. Jojo's is our way of giving back and doing what we can in support to such a strong community. Cancers of all types not
only affect the person who is sick, but absolutely everyone else in their lives. Fighting cancer is a brutal process, and unfortunately the best doctors in the world don't always win. Who was Jojo? Jo Ann Ensanian was perfect in our eyes. An incredibly beautiful and caring wife, and a selfless, loving mother, "Jojo" as we called her was the type of person you were forced to love and adore. Her values, her charm, her charisma, all resonated with everyone who was a part of her life. "Amazing" is an understatement. Jojo sadly left this world on August 18th, 2012 due to a combination of metastatic lung and pancreatic cancers. She possessed one dying wish; for her family to stay close and continue to love one another. That was it and nothing more...
Who are we? We are her children, Danny and Lisa, who are fulfilling this wish by trying to make an impact together and show our mother our plans for sticking together as a family. Along with our partner Tayler, who is a close friend with a similar personal story, and a brilliant mind for developing a unique business direction, we have become what you see today. What is "Chocolate Hope?"
"Chocolate Hope" is our way of giving a little bit of love to someone you care about. It's a way to tell someone, sick or not, that you are thinking about them and want to put a smile on their face. Think of it as giving someone a bit of happiness through a delicious chocolate bar. They say that those battling cancer and other illnesses are best able to recover when optimistic and positive in general. Give them some hope; make them smile! We are a young group of 3 motivated, dynamic, and high-spirited partners who did not come from the chocolate or charitable donation industry, but instead from real life situations that provided the inspiration for such a project. Jojo's is our commitment to those we love and those we have lost. Thank you so much to everyone who supports our cause,
Danny, Lisa & Tayler
