A little update on our CEO, Sadie. 🩷🐾

This week has been a lot. Sadie suddenly suffered a severe spinal cord injury and lost the use of her back legs. After several days in the emergency hospital, an MRI, spinal tap, and a whole lot of waiting and worrying, she is finally HOME with us.

Right now she is paralyzed in her back legs and incontinent, and we still don’t know how much function she may get back. The next couple of weeks are really just about letting her rest, keeping her comfortable, staying on top of her meds, and seeing how her body responds before we move into physical therapy and rehab.

The biggest thing is that she is still completely herself. She’s happy, comfortable, curious, bossy, and already trying to act like nothing happened. Her doctors have reassured us that even if her mobility looks different long term, she can still have a really happy, full life.

So if things are a little slower around Say Dog Apparel for a bit, this is why. Our tiny CEO is officially running things from her recovery pen.
