Some French dude wrote this book about how philosophy is stupid, optimism is stupid, and you should basically just keep yourself busy with a simple life if you want to be happy. At least that's what I got from it!! But I never went to college and I try really hard to be optimistic, so idk! It is absolutely hysterical though, if nothing else. I think i'd rather laugh than be smart. Is that a philosophy?? Oh s**t!!

$6.90 and shipping sound good? Lmk.
All orders shipped within two days of payment, in sturdy packaging, with dried flowers and other random little goodies.

I tried writing something funny about this wonderful book, but I'm tired and stressed and it didn't work out very well. Anyway, it's a great play about who knows what. Nihilism? Religion, death? Standing in the middle of a road talking for an indeterminate number of days and nights? Shallow intellectualism? Who knows!! It's fun though, so read it!!

7$ and shipping, if you like.

Shipped, with extra goodies and sturdy packaging, within two days of payment.

Hysterical, beautiful story I think of nearly every day. Retells and refers with bathos and pathos to ancient myths from all around the world, presenting the old gods in modernized, mundane iterations. The character development and plot move in ways unexpected but natural, settings are visceral and positively consuming, and the narrative voice so smooth that reading this book feels more like having a dream. Yes I'm simping for Neil Gaiman, it's allowed.

Asking 11$ plus shipping. Packages are always sturdy and pretty, full of surprise gifts yada yada, shipped within two days of payment.

Cheers

The absolute classic, featuring (SPOILER ALERT) a literal devil manifesting as a literal poodle. Deals with questions of morality and weird science, written in rhymed meter. Highly readable imo, one of my favorites. Big fan of the cover art here. Washington Square Press.

The man, the myth, the Lenin.

Haven't had a chance to read this one, but I'm listing just about every single book I brought with me to New York in the hopes of raising some funds to replace my stolen catalytic converter.

Anyway, read all about Lenin's hot girl era, sad girl era, betrayed by his old friend Stalin in a merciless grab for power era, and idk, his other eras. Read this and tell me what they were!!

Asking 8$ plus shipping. All packages are sturdy, artistic, and full of weird little extras.

Hey gang, guess who got their catalytic converter stolen last night? I'll give you a clue!

It's me. The same beloved idiot who's been out of work since my last theatre season ended way back in May, who's never consistently posted books for sale, and currently has mountains of credit card debt, is still paying off this very car, is subletting an entire house in Brooklyn and just recently got a loan with a horrific interest rate.

So! Tonight I'm going to start posting all of the few books that I brought to the city with me, in the desperate hope that some of you will want to buy some of them! Every package I send is full of weird stuff like dried flowers, random little toys, pieces of odd fabric, and probably a handwritten poem.

I've been wanting to start a Patreon, but I have no idea how I'd make that worth your investment! I'm going to try and flesh out some ideas for that as well.

So the long and short is, if you happen to like me and have some extra cash these days, I'd love to earn your support right now. I'll drop my PayPal and whatnot in the comments, and start taking some pictures of these books.

Blessed be all of you, I hope you're feeling ok. I love you.

Buffalo, I’ve got 2 snowboards with one set of bindings if anyone’s interested; moving back to Brooklyn tomorrow and would rather offload them than figure out storage. Listed on Facebook for 420 OBO but I’m super flexible.

The mannequin is yours too if you want, otherwise I’ll probably have to abandon her.

Love y’all

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If I put myself on the books as an employee, I can use that for loan and mortgage applications down the line. They don't like lending to seasonal theatre workers and freelance entertainers.

Anyone in Buffalo have a sewing machine and wanna play sometime soon? I've got two gorgeous dresses I need to slightly modify. I'd post pictures of them rn but I'm like, half asleep and they're still stuffed in my car from the move home.

I know this is stupid but I've just gotten my second flat tire in less than a week, I think both are delayed results from when one of my calipers went out a month or two ago. Thought I'd put it out there and ask for a little financial support replacing this one, the theatre season ended weeks ago and I don't have my next job lined up yet.

So, it's a tough time for the bookmobile right now. We're not sure we'll even be able to drive back to Gainesville, but we're still trying to get in better condition.

{The next 3 or 4 paragraphs are very detailed and boring. The last one is more to the point.}

Basically, the night we left town we expected to get halfway to our next stop, Savannah. Instead, we started experiencing some transmission slip only half an hour to the north. Luckily we were close to a Walmart, so we pulled in and spent a few days replacing the transmission fluid and filter.

We had to replace one of the solenoids as well, because it was old and brittle and broke apart. The vehicle was built so that only a mechanic should work on it, and we had to use a jack and move part of the chassis just to take down the transmission pan. I got absolutely soaked in fluid more times than i can count, we had to buy a bolt extractor set for a stripped bolt, etc. Once we got everything put back together, the engine started up with an absolutely horrid roar, both in the body and out of the muffler. I'm concerned that perhaps i put one of the solenoids back incorrectly? But i have no idea how, i tried to make sure it was all correct.

So the engine starts. But I'm worried that if i drive at all, it'll absolutely destroy itself. We're going to spend another day or two trying to resolve the problem, but we've been in this Walmart parking lot for 5 days now. Soon we may have to give it to a junkyard for free.

We're considering trying to limp back to Gainesville, since we like it there anyway, and find a place to park the RV to turn it into a unique, stationary office. Any locals have an idea where we might be able to put it??

Either way, in the end we're still moving forward with the publishing house this year, and I'll be opening a brick and mortar location sooner than later. If you pursue unusual ambitions and take unusual chances, inevitably the odds will occasionally fall out of your favor. That doesn't mean it isn't worth trying those unusual things. I'm stressed and disappointed, and we've been doing alot of crying. But we're alive, and the sun will rise. What more could we need?
