I never thought this day would come ….the day I had to say goodbye to my Dad. I was so lucky to get to call such an incredible man ‘my dad’. He did so much for so many on both sides of the Atlantic ☘️ I was always so incredibly proud of him. Honored by so many at different times in his life and I loved nothing more than to listen to him speak at these events, he was so good at it. I would just sit and watch him in amazement.
We shared so many incredible times together over the years…not only did we travel often and do some pretty spectacular things its the day to day things I will treasure most….I was lucky enough to spend pretty much every day of my life with him…can you imagine that at 56!?! Anyone who came into the shop would see dad sitting in his chair hanging out with me and keeping me entertained with his stories and jokes…nobody was quicker on the tongue than him. He always had me laughing!!! Thankfully I loved recording him and have so many clips that I will cherish and of course share. He loved when I would read everyone’s messages to him. 🥰
I will miss him more than I can put into words but I know he will still be with me every day!
May you Rest in Peace my sweet Dad…you were one of a kind and Loved Dearly. ❤️

So I made it over the line! As many of you know I had up until March 31 to be out of my shop, it all happened so fast it was hard to believe. So many people reached out to me and wanted to come and shop one last time so I kept everything intact until the last day, the 31st right til the very end! (So me!) It meant a mountain of work had to be done getting out in a day…the first of April. My landlord gave me an extra day 🙄
I never thought I would be able to do it.
It was surreal to say the least standing in this empty space after 35 years to the actual day! I felt like there should’ve been some kind of drumroll or something but I quietly walked out the door with a great deal of sadness for all I will miss but also with my held high and great deal of PRIDE for all I have done and in all the beautiful memories I’ve created and gifts that were given through me! I know I brought so much joy to so many through this precious gifts.
Thank you all so much for being so supportive and for being part of this journey! Onto the next chapter now….I took a few days to gather myself and relax before I started creating a nice little space with all of my beautiful inventory around me so I can still work with all of you! Yes it’s going to happen it will be different but I will make it work! I know I will…I love what I do too much to stop just yet! 🥰❤️🤸

Another few things to pack up and I will be officially out of 5694 Yikes!!! It’s been a tough few days. I can’t remember the last time I worked this hard. I’m looking forward to a few days of rest before I regroup!
I want to thank everyone for stopping in and all of the love I’ve received. I can’t wait until I can sit down and read all of my messages. I had to be out by the weekend and there was LOTS to pack up as you know I always had a well stocked shop. That was always super important to me because so many of you traveled so far I always wanted it to be with your while and make sure you had lots to choose from.

On this day April 1st 1991…35 years ago I opened this little shop and I never ever could’ve imagined it turning into such a sacred space….a place of magic. ✨ I have so much more to say and do but I couldn’t let this day pass without writing about its significance. After 35 years, I never really kept track of the actual day I opened and as many of you know by now, this all happened so fast and I didn’t even realize I was going to be trying to find a new space until 30 days ago. You can imagine my surprise when I went through my file case and found my original lease dated April 1, 1991 it literally blew me away!! It felt like a little sign saying….everything is going to be ok!!
The outpouring of love & support has been amazing. I am so incredibly grateful. It has made this part of my difficult journey that little bit easier. I have shed so many tears with so many amazing friends these past few days of collected hundreds of hugs which will no doubt see me through these next few weeks and months of rebuilding.
Like I said I have lots more to say and do but I wanted to say a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am truly blessed.
As you all know I certainly could not have done it without my mom! And she sends her love to…she wants to kill me for taking her photo but I had to!! ###x
