Two scratch-brushed raw brass Van Laar OIRAM II trumpets just landed at JLB 🎺

One of Van Laar’s most popular premium models, the OIRAM II is known for its huge, dark, creamy sound, incredibly even response across all registers, and the ability to really light up when you push it, especially with a lead-style mouthpiece.

With a big resonant bell, broad projection, excellent intonation, smooth valve action, and top-tier craftsmanship, there’s a lot to love about these horns.

Recapping the ITG hang in Room 120 🫡

Our first-ever JLB Summer Summit earlier this week had us running a bit late on the ITG recap, but you all know we couldn’t forget to share a couple of photos and say a few thank yous!

It’s been a minute since our last ITG, but this was an incredible year to come back and hang with the trumpet community.

It was an absolute blast being up at the 50th Anniversary ITG Conference at the Eastman School of Music, and we couldn’t have asked for a better room assignment than Room 120. Getting to share the space with friends like Del Quadro, Greg Black Mouthpieces, and so many other familiar faces made the whole week fly by.

A huge thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth, played horns, checked out the JLB Museum pieces, grabbed gear, talked shop, or just came by to say hello 👋
