Consolidated Flooring is proud to have partnered with Lakeside Alliance on the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago’s historic Jackson Park.

Our team installed site finished wood flooring throughout the Center, including exhibit spaces, the library, auditorium, private quarters, and a replica Oval Office.

We’re especially proud to have supported opportunities for diverse and local participation through our partnership with Chicago Women in Trades (CWIT)

We recently had a nice refresh to our lobby and showroom in our New York office with flooring from Patcraft's Modern Finds collection, a series inspired by woven textiles, rich fibers, and handcrafted design.

Our lobby area now features Slip Stitch in Boucle, creating a welcoming first impression with a refined, layered feel. In our main library, Open Weave in Boucle adds softness and depth, while our secondary library showcases Floated Weft in Mushroom for a clean, elevated neutral palette that complements the surrounding materials beautifully.

As Construction Safety Week 2026 comes to a close, we’re proud to celebrate the installers and field teams who make safety a priority every day here at Consolidated. This week reinforced the importance of recognizing hazards early, responding with the right planning and protection, and looking out for one another on every jobsite.

Construction Safety Week continues with a reminder from one of our longtime Foreman, Sean Blanco:
“PPE isn’t just part of the job, it’s what gets you home at the end of the day.”

With 17 years on our team, Sean understands that safety is built through the habits we practice every day. From wearing proper PPE to staying alert on site, the small decisions matter.

As we recognize National Safety Stand Down to Prevent Falls this week, we’re reminded that protecting ourselves and each other always comes first.

To kick off Construction Safety Week 2026, we’re recognizing the team members who put safety into practice every single day by embracing this year’s theme, Recognize, which reinforces the importance of identifying high-energy hazards and the conditions that can lead to serious injuries or fatalities through a shared safety mindset.

At our Installer Summer Kick Off meeting on April 21st in Illinois, we recognized Joe Light as this year’s Gold Hard Hat Award recipient. Joe has been working at Consolidated Flooring for over 10 years and consistently demonstrates strong safety awareness and a commitment to doing the work safely and correctly, setting the standard for his team.

We were delighted to host the 13th annual “Gathering of Sorts” in our New York office last week, alongside Andrew Weinberg of LF Driscoll Healthcare!

It was a wonderful evening spent reconnecting with familiar faces and welcoming new ones from across the healthcare community. The conversations and shared experiences are what continue to make this gathering meaningful. The evening complemented by food from Motek.
