On January 16th 2014, Facebook disabled the fanpage Ferbie Boots due to thousands of copyright violations. And on January 15th 2014 bigcartel.com (the sales site ferbie used to run their operation) also disabled access to over 70% of the items due to violations of copyright infringement. An estimated $12m lawsuit is currently undergoing approval against Ferbie Boots for various dishonest business practices and lack of proper business licenses.

Ferbie boots stole thousands of pictures from other companies on the internet and called them their own, and have been sending a different product. The image here was used by Ferbie boots on hundreds of websites to advertise, when it actually came from the Northstar Fur Company of San Francisco CA. (fluffywuffies.com)
